Today I saw an open newspaper in which there was a story with the headline,
Soldiers Told To Close Down Their Web Blogs
Or something basically along those lines. My question: why hasn't anybody thought of saying 'web blogs' before now? It's brilliant.

For some reason, I keep getting hit in the head today.

Oh, the hilarity of people unintentionally making up words. I have a friend for whom this is a problem, like, she doesn't say "This happened while this was going on" she'll say, "This happened why this was going on" and it completely changes the meaning, and makes no sense, and usually I'm pretty much a grammar nazi, so I always want to correct her, but she's almost a grown up, so she should just know better. Plus, if I started with anything like that, I'd have to correct a good 30% of everything she said, and I'm just lazy enough not to start.

"Writing it in her online web blog and posting it on the information superhighway known as the internet."

(Hee hee, I have similar trouble. These days I get my grammar nazi kicks on route Wixty Wix.)
