Tuesday was Canada Day (Canada!), and Monday was the 100th anniversary of the Tunguska Event. Friday is my mother's birthday (also, America Day). Today is the day on which I tell you guys what I've been reading.
Diana Wynne Jones, Howl's Moving Castle (reread)
Sean Stewart, Firecracker (American Title: Perfect Circle)
M. T. Anderson, The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, Traitor to the Nation, Volume 1: The Pox Party

Oh, yes: Monday was also the birthday of Tsukino Usagi, alias Sailormoon. That's probably a coincidence.

(I want to say it's her 30th, because at least in the anime she was 14 in 1992, but that's probably not really how the chronology works. Rachel?)

She was 14 in 1992 and she was 16 in 1997. So, uh, you tell me?

I was a big fan of Perfect Circle, although its climax felt a little weirdly timed. I'd like to know what you thought of it.
