Okay, fine.
Jun. 13th, 2006 04:11 pmRachel probably wants me to do this. For each person who comments in this entry, it is supposed that I will reply in the following ritual manner:
1. I’ll respond with something random about you.
2. I’ll challenge you to try something.
3. I’ll pick a color that I associate with you.
4. I’ll tell you something I like about you.
5. I’ll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
6. I’ll tell you what animal you remind me of.
7. I’ll ask you something I’ve always wanted to ask you.

2. I have no idea.
3. A sort of purple, like a Glosette Raisins box.
4. I like how at concerts you stand very still as everyone else is dancing. It made me feel (as a mostly-not-a-dancer) less alone.
5. You weren't so much a person I have a first memory of; you just gradually were there, one of the standard younger occupants of the multimedia room. I remember being briefly tempted by your offer to sell me a laptop.
6. A chipmunk?
7. I can't think of anything at the moment. Maybe I'll find something later.

3. Grey-green, probably because of your icon.
4. You have a consistancy to you; you stick around.
5. I know that I was aware of you before then, but the first memory that I still have is the first time you mentioned what my likely response would be in a thread where I hadn't yet appeared. I was inordinately pleased; "They are learning to fear me," I thought.
6. An... Octopus.
7. What should I ask you?

2. If I ever introduce myself to you again, do not run away.
3. A pale yellow. I do not know why.
4. Let's talk about Otakon some more!: I remember that I liked your panel.
5. During that year-long period or so where I had nothing to do with any Megatokyan community save #waitility, you were one of the new people that others (more attentive) would occasionally mention.
6. A... Jellyfish. (No, it's good! They're luminous.)

3. Sort of a deep pink.
4. When I heard your voice today, it made me feel warm. Even when I'm hearing it a lot, I think, it never stops doing that; I just get used to the feeling.
5. We have answered this question so many times.
6. I'm going to make you an otter today.

I'll probably get another chance. Maybe. Someday.
3. Didn't it used to be a sort of sunsetty 'fireflower' thing?
4. I should be vacuous and inattentive all the time!
5. "Why does everyone spell this word wrong??"
6. Yay! I'm the furriest creature in the world! And I use my belly for a table! And I'm adorable! And...mean!
7. Realizing he's a son of God. (And is of infinite worth, and should act like it, and should learn more, &c.)

4. You are very prolific!
5. I know I encountered your name before, but my first memory of you is probably meeting you in the hotel room at Otakon '04. This is still, I think, the only occasion on which we've talked in realtime.
6. Some clever bird of prey.
7. Did we ever interact in the forums? I have no idea whether I remember you under another name.

As for Kay...try The Lions of Al-Rassan or the Constantinople books - if that doesn't do it for you, skip the rest of his stuff.

4. You communicate very deftly.
5. I remember you standing on the steps in front of Windsor House one day, playing your fiddle, all glasses and grinning and long straight hair, and asking someone and finding out that you were Ryan's sister. Then I saw you and spoke to you on several occasions more without actually learning your name.
6. Okay, okay, an alligator.
7. I don't have a good one. I guess I can ask how it was that you first became involved with your instrument.

I was too young to remember for myself the moment of first desire, but I do know that I bugged my parents for a fiddle for about 6 months and when I was three-and-a-half (such distinctions matter at that age!:)) they relented and got me my first violin and some lessons. 'S been a while.
Little known fact - I privately celebrate my "fiddle anniversary" every year. ^_^;;

3. Green. FOR SOME REASON. Also the blue colour of that sweatshirt you used to wear.
4. You once used the spelling 'traphphic'. It made me happy.
5. I don't remember the first time I met you, but I remember that you used to terrorize Keri, which impressed me, because I found Keri pretty intimidating. One time, you tied her wrists together with her watch.

5. Yes, we had quite an .. intimidation circle going on there, didn't we. Also, I think it might have been David's watch, 'cause the other watches we tried were too small.
7. Yes, it was solved, but not by Team West. I don't really remember much more about who solved it though.
