There is a flock of crows in Vancouver - a 'murder', I suppose, though one of the tonal consequences of that most famous of the colourful avian group names is that I've always imagined a murder of crows to be a small, skulking thing. There is at least one collective, in Vancouver, of thousands of crows, and I see them, sometimes, filling up an entire stretch of trees, or in flight. Today as I was waiting on Commercial Drive I watched them crossing the street overhead, like a river in the sky; after five minutes, when the bus came, they were still passing.
My throat has been sore and congested all day, and yesterday. I think that I'm a little bit sick.

No idea if they were as large as yours, but they were large birds and all flying around in groups, and it was pretty spectacular-looking. Seeing that in the big city, though, from down underneath Vancouver, especially that one street where only busses are allowed to go, would've been awesome.
