What it is about July

Yesterday was my mother's birthday, although because she is sick we didn't go out to dinner or anything. Instead we had chips and egg and ate it together (a relative rarity for my family) and played board games, and I made an apple crisp, which was nice because I hadn't for a good, long while. I make one of the tastiest desserts I am aware of; it's been pointed out to me that this is pretty cool.
(It was also Keri's birthday, and the day before that was Jen Lovick's, which I think I'll always remember even though I haven't spoken to her in years, and the ninth will be Marilee's (she's having dim sum and various attached festivities), as well as Leonard Richardson's and Caduceuskun's, and the thirteenth - I think - will be _Quinn's, and the sixteenth cola's. I think I'm forgetting people. I don't know what it is about July. Oh, and the first was Canada's, and having said that I guess I ought to mention that apparently my mom's birthday and Keri's is a date of some note south of me, too.)
Last night I dreamed of having Megaman-like powers and being (though not starring, so I wasn't the fellow likely to metamorphose) in a remake of "The Fly" set in a fantasy world. I still feel a little strange.
